[04-16-2023] Kern County, CA – Two Drivers Injured in Bakersfield Following Two-Vehicle Crash

A pursuit led to a two-vehicle crash that injured two drivers in Bakersfield on Sunday morning, April 16, 2023.

The Bakersfield Police Department reports a traffic stop led to a pursuit through downtown Bakersfield. This ended in a crash at the Truxtun Avenue and Oak Street intersection around 9:30 a.m.

Authorities said they stopped the female driver for a code violation. The driver drove off, leading officers on a chase.

Both drivers were taken to the hospital after suffering minor injuries.
