[04-17-2023] Motorcyclist Killed After Hit-And-Run Collision in LancasterA motorcycle rider was killed in a hit-and-run collision between a vehicle and a motorcycle in Lancaster Monday night, April 17, 2023.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported that the accident happened at about 9:30 p.m. on Avenue L and 25th Street West.

The man died at a hospital on Monday. There was no immediate information on his identity.

The blue Toyota reportedly made a left turn against a red arrow to head northbound on 25th Street West while the motorcyclist was going west on Avenue L., resulting in the death of the motorcyclist. The passenger side of the blue Toyota sedan is expected to have significant crash damage.

According to the sheriff’s department, the motorbike’s speed may have contributed to this collision. Whether drugs or alcohol contributed to the crash is unknown.

The authorities are still conducting their investigation.
