[04-27-2023] Motorcyclist Severely Injured After a Motorcycle Versus Vehicle Collision in BakersfieldA motorcyclist sustained significant injuries following a collision with a vehicle in east Bakersfield Thursday evening, April 27, 2023.

California Highway Patrol reported that on Eucalyptus Drive and Stephen Kelly Lane at around 5:49 p.m., a crash between a motorcycle and a vehicle occurred.

Due to the collision, the motorcycle caught fire, and a bystander helped to put it out with a fire extinguisher.

Authorities have withheld the release of the identities of the parties until their next of kin has been notified.

Whether or not drugs or alcohol was a factor and the cause of this crash is still unknown.

The authorities are still investigating this.
