[05-21-2023] Santa Clara County, CA – San Jose Two-Vehicle Crash Kills One, Injures Three, Including Child

One person was killed, and three others, including a child, were injured following a two-vehicle crash in San Jose on Sunday afternoon, May 21, 2023.

According to the San Jose Police Department, the crash occurred after 1:30 p.m. near Fruitdale and Leigh Avenues.

Authorities stated that a gray Toyota Prius and a white Toyota Corolla collided, causing one to roll over. First responders arrived on the scene and began saving the four victims involved in the collision.

A 26-year-old man identified as Jefferson R. was declared dead at the scene. Officials reported that another man and a woman were sent to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, and one child was also injured in the collision but is likely to live.

The officials have not yet given any additional information about what caused the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
