[05-27-2023] San Bernardino County, CA – One Killed, Another Injured After Multi-Vehicle Hit-and-Run Collision in San Bernardino

One person was killed while another was in critical condition after a multi-vehicle hit-and-run collision in San Bernardino on Saturday morning, May 27, 2023.

According to the San Bernardino Police Department, the incident occurred on the 350 block of West Base Line Road at around 10:45 a.m.

The incident began with an altercation between a Dodge Ram Truck driver and a BMW. The truck tried to overtake the BMW but was unsuccessful and hit the side of the BMW, which caused the truck to hit a minivan, resulting in the truck and minivan crashing in the front yard of a home.

The truck’s driver fled the scene on foot. The BMW driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.

A witness, Reggie D., stated that it all happened so fast. Another witness, Cassie B., claims that drivers on that road tend to drive fast.

The minivan driver was rushed to the nearby hospital but later died from their injuries. The minivan passenger was also transported to the hospital and was in critical condition.
