[06-10-2023] San Diego County, CA – 47-Year-Old Male Pedestrian Seriously Injured After Hit-and-Run Collision in University Heights

A 47-year-old male pedestrian sustained severe injuries after being struck in a hit-and-run collision in San Diego on Saturday evening, June 10, 2023.

According to the San Diego Police Department, the incident happened near a bus lane on the 1800 block of El Cajon Boulevard and Park Boulevard at around 9:00 p.m.

The vehicle, described as a dark-colored Honda Civic or BMW 3 series, hit a pedestrian as it turned into Park Boulevard from El Cajon Boulevard. The driver then fled the scene.

The victim suffered severe injuries, including a laceration on the back of the head, a right shoulder fracture, scattered brain bleeds, and minor abrasions.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
