[06-21-2023] Fatal Vehicle Crash near Baker Beach Leaves One Dead and One InjuredOne person died, and one was severely injured after a vehicle was found down a steep embankment in Trinidad on Wednesday morning, June 21, 2023.

The California Highway Patrol received a report of a vehicle off the roadway and down a steep embankment on Scenic Drive, north of Baker Ranch Road, around 10:30 a.m.

According to the CHP, emergency personnel responded to the scene and found a 2003 Toyota Camry approximately 200 feet down a steep embankment. Two unidentified males inside the car were extricated via helicopter.

Tragic developments unfolded at the scene of a crash, as rescuers determined one party to be deceased, while the second party was extracted and rushed to the hospital with severe injuries.

It is still unknown when and how the crash happened at this time.

The Investigation regarding the case is still ongoing.
