[07-04-2023] Male Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Vehicle in Vermont VistaA pedestrian was killed in a vehicle collision in Vermont Vista, Los Angeles, on Tuesday evening, July 4, 2023.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the incident occurred on the northbound lanes of Figueroa Street at around 10:30 p.m.

The 65-year-old Hispanic pedestrian was struck by a vehicle traveling northbound on Figueroa Street. The vehicle was found at the scene with evident collision damage.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

When the LAPD responded to the 11500 South Figueroa Street Metro Green Line Harbor Freeway Station to investigate a shooting, they discovered the pedestrian-vehicle collision. The officers canvassed the area for a potential shooting victim but to no avail.
