[07-05-2023] 45-Year-Old Motorcyclist Injured Following SUV and Motorcycle Collision Along Highway 49A 45-year-old motorcyclist was injured following an SUV and motorcycle collision along Highway 49, near Nevada City, on Wednesday, July 05, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around the afternoon near Newtown Road, northeast of Nevada.

The motorcyclist, David P.,  sustained major injuries after colliding with an SUV driver. Authorities said that the motorcyclist miscalculated how much the SUV was slowing down.

Perez was wearing a helmet before the collision. The extent of his injuries remains unclear, while the SUV driver was unharmed.

The victim’s condition is currently undisclosed. The authorities have not released further information about the collision.
