A young girl, aged 4, suffered severe facial injuries when she was bitten by a dog in Lancaster on Wednesday afternoon, July 5, 2023,

The incident occurred around 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday in the vicinity of Thomas Drive, near East Avenue K, between 20th Street East and 22nd Street East.

According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, the young girl was airlifted to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles using a helicopter from the LA County Sheriff’s Department.

The name and current condition of the girl have not been disclosed at this time.
