A female pedestrian was killed after a hit-and-run collision in San Jose on Friday afternoon, July 7, 2023.

According to the San Jose Police Department, the incident occurred in the area of Story and South White Roads at around 2:26 p.m.

No information was released regarding the events that led to the crash, pending an investigation.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, and her identity is being withheld until notification of next of kin.

Between Story Rd and Buckner Dr, South White Rd was closed in both directions. Motorists were advised to avoid the area and drive safely.
