[07-19-2023] Hit-And-Run Collision in American Canyon Injures Four People, One Extricated From WreckageFour people were injured, and at least one person was extricated from the wreckage following a hit-and-run collision in American Canyon on Wednesday evening, July 19, 2023.

The American Canyon Police and  American Canyon Fire Protection District responded to the accident at American Canyon Road and Silver Oak Trail, east of Highway 29, around 6:19 p.m.

A large RV driver struck a small sport-utility vehicle and fled. Four people were hospitalized after the accident. At least one of them was extricated from the wreckage.

The victims sustained injuries ranging from moderate to major, while the suspect remained at large as of 8:45 p.m. The authorities have not disclosed the identities of the people involved.

The investigation continues.
