[08-10-2023] At Least One Person Injured After Multi-Vehicle Crash Involving Box Truck on Hwy 99At least one person was injured after a multi-vehicle crash involving a box truck in Madera on Thursday morning, August 10, 2023.

The California Highway Patrol and SkyLife responded to the accident on Highway 99 near Avenue 12 around 8:30 a.m.

It was unknown what led to the crash, but a box truck driver was found pined-in at the scene. An air ambulance transported him to the hospital for treatment.

The victim was not identified, and there were no other reported injuries. The total number of vehicles involved was not mentioned.

The highway was reopened after a flatbed tow truck loaded the crashed vehicle. Investigations are ongoing.
