At least one person was injured after a collision between a semi-truck and a vehicle in Bakersfield on Friday evening, August 11, 2023.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred on westbound Highway 58 at the S. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard at 9:19 p.m.
Based on observations by an Eyewitness News team at the location, the semi-trailer truck collided with the rear of the Nissan.
The crash resulted in significant damage to both vehicles. A passenger in the Nissan Altima reportedly suffered an arm injury.
Emergency personnel from a Hall ambulance were witnessed transporting one person from the scene. No additional injuries have been reported thus far.
