A person was injured after a two-vehicle collision involving a fire truck in San Francisco on Thursday evening, August 17, 2023.
According to the San Francisco Police Department, the incident occurred at the intersection of Polk and Turk Streets after 10:00 p.m.
The fire truck was in “Code 3” emergency mode, meaning its lights and siren were on during the crash. A Cruise car was entering the intersection on a green light when it was struck by the fire truck that was responding to an emergency.
The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
No information was released regarding the victim’s identity, pending an investigation.
