[08-23-2023] 25-Year-Old Foster Farms Employee Killed After Hit-and-Run Collision in ReedleyA 25-year-old Foster Farms employee was killed following a hit-and-run collision in Reedley on Wednesday morning, August 23, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around the company property on Englehart Avenue that morning.

40-year-old Foster Farms employee Melecio H. took the company van and drove around the property, where he hit the victim, who was walking. Melecio drove away after colliding with his co-worker.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where they succumbed to their injuries. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending an investigation.

The suspect surrendered himself to the authorities, and his valid driver’s license was not found.
