[09-29-2023] Los Angeles County, CA – Unidentified Pedestrian Died After Metrolink Train Crash in Florence-Graham

An unknown pedestrian died after being struck by a Metrolink train in Florence-Graham, Los Angeles County, on Friday evening, September 29, 2023.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and Los Angeles County Fire Department, the collision happened around 9:41 p.m. at East 92nd Street and Graham Avenue.

Reports indicate the train struck a pedestrian and a pet on the tracks. Upon the arrival of the responders, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

No information was provided regarding the involved pet. It was not clear whether the victim was the owner or simply happened to be on the tracks at the time of the crash.

There was no immediate word on whether the train had passengers or not. The officers closed the area while Metrolink and Union Pacific cooperated with the investigations.

Information about the collision has yet to be released, as investigations are ongoing.
