[10-19-2023] Madera County, CA – 45-Year-Old Man Killed Following Hit-And-Run Crash on Highway 99 in Minturn

A 45-year-old man died after being struck by a hit-and-run vehicle in Minturn, Madera County, on Thursday morning, October 19, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred before 6:00 a.m. on the Highway 99 off-ramp and Chowchilla Blvd at Road 15.

The man, reportedly from Fresno, was fatally struck by a pickup truck when he was walking on the shoulder of the highway. The driver fled the scene before authorities arrived, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
