[11-04-2023] Tuolumne County, CA – Two People Died Following Reckless Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 108 in Sonora

Two people died following a reckless multi-vehicle collision in Sonora on Saturday afternoon, November 4, 2023.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred on Highway 108 near South Washington Street.

Reports indicate a 48-year-old driver of a 2002 Harley Davidson, identified as Justin B., and a 45-year-old passenger, Nikole B., went westbound and failed to stop at a red light.

The driver struck a 2023 Subaru occupied by Brandy B., driving southbound and entering the intersection on a green light. Also, a 2012 Toyota Prius driven by Ashley B. was also hit while going eastbound.

Both motorcycle occupants were ejected after hitting the left front end of the Subaru and were taken to Adventist Health Sonora, where they later died. No injuries were reported in the other individuals involved.

The involvement of alcohol is being investigated. As of yet, the authorities have not released any further details about the investigation.
