What To Do After A Truck Accident In Victorville, CA

After a truck accident, you can safeguard your right to compensation by following this comprehensive guide:

  • Move to safety. Move your car to the shoulder and turn on your caution lights to warn other drivers. Follow the directions of emergency responders if moving cars is dangerous.
  • Seek medical treatment and immediate assistance. Even if you believe you are okay, let the emergency personnel examine you because some injuries may not show up for several days. Medical records of visits, diagnoses, treatments, medications, and costs can aid an injury claim.
  • Ask other drivers for information. Note the names of the parties, their phone numbers, vehicle plates, insurance companies, and policy numbers.
  • Take pictures and videos of the scene if you can. Take as many pictures and movies as you can of your automobile, other cars, and surrounding objects like guardrails and skid marks.
  • Take a picture of your wounds. One important way to record damages is to take pictures of your injuries or those of others.
  • Obtain witness accounts. After an accident, many people offer assistance. To support your injury claim, get as much information from them as you can.
  • Report the accident to your insurance company. Don’t make recorded statements or sign anything without legal counsel. Doing so could jeopardize your claim.
  • Be careful with what you say. Be truthful when speaking with a police officer, but do not make any assumptions. Saying sorry could be misconstrued as an admission of fault.
  • Keep a journal. You’ll be able to remember all of your feelings and thoughts during your recovery if you do this. For personal injury claims, keeping track of your progress following an accident is essential.
  • Speak with Arash Law. Our California truck accident lawyers will level the playing field against trucking companies and insurance providers, ensuring you receive the full compensation you deserve.
