[08-29-2025] Sacramento County, CA โ€“ Bicyclist Killed in Collision with Car on Calvine Road in Elk Grove

A 39-year-old bicyclist was killed in a collision with a car on Calvine Road in Elk Grove early Friday morning, August 29, 2025.

According to the Elk Grove Police Department, the crash occurred around 2:33 a.m. between Bader Road and Bradshaw Road when the man, a Sacramento resident, was sitting on his bike in the road.

The driver, who was traveling east on Calvine Road, struck the bicyclist and immediately stopped to cooperate with the investigation.

Officials arrived on scene and confirmed the bicyclist was dead. The Sacramento County Coronerโ€™s Office will release the identification of the deceased.

Elk Grove police stated that the driver did not show any signs of impairment, and speed does not appear to have been a factor in the crash. The incident remains under investigation.
