A pedestrian was killed while walking in lanes of the westbound Foothill (210) Freeway in Sylmar, Los Angeles, on Sunday evening, September 7, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 7:20 p.m. west of Yarnell Street.

Witnesses reported seeing a male pedestrian walking in the freeway lanes when the collision occurred.

CHP issued a SigAlert shutting down westbound lanes 1, 2, and 3 while investigators worked at the scene. Authorities have not released additional details about the victimโ€™s identity.
