A 19-year-old riding an electric bicycle sustained critical injuries in a traffic collision in Orange on Tuesday, September 9, 2025.
Authorities reported that the crash occurred near the intersection of Lewis Street and El Prado Avenue.
Investigators said the rider was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision. He was transported to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police stated that the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Officials also indicated that drugs and alcohol are not believed to have contributed to the crash.
The cause of the collision is under investigation.
