[12-07-2025] Monterey County, CA – Woman Struck and Killed While Crossing Street in Salinas

A woman was struck and killed by a vehicle while crossing the street in Salinas on Sunday evening, December 7, 2025

According to authorities, the collision occurred around 6:00 p.m. at the intersection of Main Street and Hardin Parkway.

Witnesses said the woman was running across the roadway when she was hit by a vehicle and thrown about 30 to 45 feet.

Emergency responders arrived and provided lifesaving measures before transporting her by ambulance to a hospital. Police later confirmed that the woman died from her injuries.

The Monterey County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 65-year-old Carmen N. of Salinas.

The Salinas Police Department continues to investigate the collision.
