[12-07-2025] Monterey County, CA – Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Vehicle Near Salinas Rd. and Lewis Rd.

A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle in Monterey County late Saturday night, December 7, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 11:34 p.m. near Salinas Road and Lewis Road.

Authorities said the pedestrian was walking in the roadway of Salinas Road when they were struck by a southbound Honda sedan driven by a 49-year-old Watsonville man.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. Monterey County Sheriff’s Office will release the victim’s identity once the next of kin have been notified.

CHP officials said it has not yet been determined whether drugs or alcohol contributed to the collision.

The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
