[02-26-2026] Contra Costa County, CA – Motorcyclist Killed in Collision With Sedan in Pittsburg

A 46-year-old motorcyclist from Concord was killed in a collision with a sedan in Pittsburg on Thursday afternoon, February 26, 2026.

According to the Pittsburg Police Department, the crash occurred around 4:45 p.m. at the intersection of Buchanan Road and Woodborough Place.

Officers arrived to find the motorcyclist down. He died at the scene despite life-saving efforts by police and medical personnel.

Authorities have not yet released the victim’s name pending notification of next of kin.

Police said a 37-year-old Pittsburg resident who was driving the sedan was arrested on suspicion of DUI. The driver remained at the scene and was not injured.
