[04-14-2026] Los Angeles County, CA – Semi-Truck Crashes into Wall on 91 Freeway in Long Beach

A semi-truck crashed into a wall on the 91 Freeway in Long Beach on Tuesday morning, April 14, 2026, causing a multi-lane closure that lasted for several hours.

The crash was reported shortly after 10 a.m. on the eastbound side of the freeway just west of the 710 Freeway interchange.

Video footage of the incident showed the jackknifed semi with significant front-end damage and a large section of the wall missing after being struck by the truck. The collision also caused fluid to spill onto the roadway.

The California Highway Patrol reported that as many as five other vehicles may have been involved, though it remained unclear whether they were part of the initial crash or damaged by debris. The extent of any injuries was not immediately available.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
