[06-28-2026] Kern County, CA – Motorcyclist Killed in Crash With Vehicle in Delano

A 21-year-old motorcyclist was killed after a vehicle turned left into his path in Delano on Sunday night, June 28, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported around 9:12 p.m. at the intersection of Pond Road and Stradley Avenue.

Preliminary investigation indicates the motorcyclist, riding a 2012 Honda CBR600 westbound on Pond Road, collided with a 2014 Nissan Rogue driven by a 58-year-old Delano woman who turned left onto northbound Stradley Avenue.

The motorcyclist, from Earlimart, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Nissan and her passenger sustained minor injuries. It is currently unknown whether alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash.

CHP Bakersfield Area officers continue to investigate.
