A 62-year-old man was killed following a deadly motorcycle crash at a San Marcos intersection on Monday afternoon, January 24, 2022.
The accident happened at approximately 11:00 a.m. at the intersection of Mulberry Drive and Borden Road in San Marcos.
A motorcycle traveled on Borden Road when a northbound Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck struck him on Mulberry Drive.
Due to the severity of the impact, the rider was ejected from his motorcycle and landed on the roadway. The unidentified motorcycle rider was immediately taken to Palomar Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
The pickup truck driver was uninjured in the mishap. He remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
Information about the crash is limited at the moment. The identities of the involved parties have not been disclosed.
Local authorities are further investigating the case.
