[01-29-2022] Butte County, CA – Fatal Pedestrian Accident in Chico Results in One Death

One unidentified pedestrian was killed after getting struck by a car in Chico on Saturday evening, January 29, 2022.

The unidentified pedestrian was pushing a shopping cart across Notre Dame Boulevard when a northbound vehicle suddenly struck him for unclear reasons.

The unidentified male pedestrian was rushed to an area hospital with fatal injuries. Unfortunately, he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

The driver that struck the pedestrian remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. Speed and intoxication were not considered as factors in the crash.

Fatal Pedestrian Accident Statistics
