An unidentified pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run accident in Hemet on Thursday, April 7.

The authorities shortly discovered a body after arriving at the scene.

According to CHP, the motorist did not stay at the scene to assist in the rescue.

The victim was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

There was no description of the suspicious car, according to police.

The crash remains under investigation.
