Two children were hurt after a two-vehicle traffic crash in Walnut on early Sunday morning, May 8, 2022.
The accident occurred in the area of E. Valley Boulevard and N. Grand Avenue at approximately 1:50 a.m.
Two unspecified vehicles collided on the roadway for unclear reasons. Due to the severity of the impact, one of the vehicles crashed into a fire hydrant.
Two children inside one of the vehicles sustained critical injuries and were rushed to an area hospital for treatment.
Two other passengers inside the same vehicle suffered from minor injuries. Meanwhile, the other driver was taken into custody after receiving treatment for his injuries.
Information about the accident is limited at the moment. It’s unclear whether drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.
