A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a car in downtown Los Angeles on Wednesday night, May 18, 2022.
According to Officer Cruz of the Los Angeles Police Department, the collision occurred at 9:48 p.m. in the 300 block of South Figueroa Street.
Cruz stated that the collision does not appear to be a hit-and-run.
According to news footage, a white or gray small-to-midsize SUV was seen near the scene with its blinkers on and apparent damage to the car’s hood.
The authorities have not yet disclosed the victim’s identity.
There are no other details available.
The crash remains under investigation.
