[06-05-2022] Sonoma County, CA - Fatal Pedestrian Crash in Penngrove Results in One DeathAuthorities say a pedestrian died after being hit by a pickup truck in Penngrove on Sunday, June 5, 2022.

According to a news release from the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 12:30 p.m. along Old Redwood Highway and Hatchery Road.

According to the CHP report, the pedestrian was walking in the bicycle lane along Old Redwood Highway when she walked out in front of a Ford F-150 for unknown reasons and was struck near Hatchery Road.

He was taken to Petaluma Valley Hospital and pronounced dead there.

The authorities withheld the man’s name until his relatives were notified.

According to the CHP, the driver and passenger in the pickup were unharmed.

There are no other details available.

The crash remains under investigation.
