A man walking in a crosswalk was killed when a woman driving a stolen car crashed in a South Los Angeles neighborhood Thursday, June 16, 2022.
The pedestrian crash occurred early Thursday at Florence and Central avenues in the Florence-Graham Crosswalk.
Following the fatal accident, the car’s driver was apprehended.
According to police, the victim, a man in his twenties, was thrown onto the hood and through the windshield of a 2002 Toyota Avalon.
At least three parked cars were damaged in the crash, and the 41-year-old driver was arrested on the spot. One of the vehicles ended up on its side.
The vehicles were towed away from the accident site on Thursday morning.
The accident is still being investigated.
