A woman was killed, and another person was injured in a fatal rear-end crash in Culver City on Saturday night, June 18, 2022.

The collision occurred around 10:15 p.m. near the intersection of La Cienega Boulevard and Wrightcrest Drive.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a woman was driving a white sedan south on La Cienega when she rear-ended another vehicle.

The woman’s sedan veered off the road and slammed into a light pole, severing it in half.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. She has only been identified as a 23-year-old woman.

The second vehicle’s driver was trapped inside and needed to be rescued by firefighters.

Police are investigating the accident. It’s unclear whether drugs, alcohol, or speed played a role in the accident at this time.
