[06-25-2022] Los Angeles County, CA – One Person Killed, Another Injured in Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash in Castaic

One person had to be airlifted to a hospital and at least one person died following a fatal accident on the 5 Freeway in Castaic on Saturday, June 25, 2022.

According to supervisor Bernard Peters with the Los Angeles County Fire Department, the fatal collision occurred at around 9:30 a.m. at the 5 Freeway at Exit 183 close to Templin Highway.

According to the California Highway Patrol, two vehicles, one of which had three passengers inside, were reportedly involved in the collision.

First responders on the scene requested a life flight via helicopter at around 9:51 a.m.

According to CHP, the accident is fatal, but as of 10:30 a.m., it is unknown how many people have died.

There are no other details available.

The crash remains under investigation.
