According to the California Highway Patrol, two people suffered non-life threatening injuries in a hit-and-run collision on South Mission Road Tuesday, July 12, 2022.
The fatal crash occurred at around 9:30 p.m. at Via Encinos and South Mission Road.
The CHP verified that the accident was a hit-and-run. One of the cars’ driver also sustained injuries. CHP confirmed that searches would be used in some of the investigation.
Additionally, the CHP verified that minor passengers were detained at the scene while ASTREA looked for the driver. Darkness, according to CHP, hampered its search last night.
A truck and sedan were involved in the collision. Two injured patients were taken to Temecula Valley Hospital.
Investigations into the collision are still ongoing.

The parties involved in accidents brought on by hit-and-run drivers are required to file reports. Make a 911 call as soon as possible. As soon as a police officer arrives, there will almost certainly be an investigation into the hit-and-run driver.
