According to the Porterville Police, the crash occurred just before 1:00 a.m. at Morton Avenue and Indiana Street,

The police discovered that a motorcycle driver, age 31, was struck by another vehicle after running through a stop light.

The non-helmeted motorcycle rider was knocked off his machine. He was brought to the hospital by police and emergency medical personnel, but he did not survive.
