According to the police, one man was killed and another person sustained serious injuries in a motorcycle accident in Merced on Saturday, July 16, 2022.
According to the Merced Police Department, the crash occurred around 6:36 p.m. in the 1100 block of E. South Bear Creek Drive.
The police and EMS discovered two men with serious crash injuries and were immediately given treatment.
The 34-year-old man was rushed to the ER and later passed away.
A 27-year-old man in a serious but stable condition was also transported to a trauma center.
The police discovered that the man who died was not wearing a helmet and that both men were riding on the same motorcycle when it crashed.
Local authorities believed that alcohol was indeed a factor in the collision.
The victim’s identity will not be disclosed until the family has been informed.
