Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash Statistics

Being in a car accident is the most frequent cause of personal injury in the US. Each year, two million people suffer injuries from car accidents. Of these people, more than 200,000 reside in the state of California. With a population of over 2 million, Riverside County is one of the state’s most crowded and dangerous places to drive.

2,119 injuries and fatalities occurred on Riverside’s streets, including Jurupa Avenue, Wells Avenue, Pierce Street, and nearby roads like the 91, 215, and 60.

If the drivers hadn’t been preoccupied with their cell phones or other distractions while driving, 80% of these fatalities might have been prevented.

These collisions are partly caused by distracted driving, drunk driving, and fatigued driving.

Due to the accident, the driver who caused the collision owes money to the people listed above. A car accident might be the fault of both drivers. Even if this happens, injured parties may still be able to sue the responsible party.
