Rollover Crash Statistics
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), single-vehicle accidents account for roughly 85 percent of all rollover deaths. However, the remaining 15% of collisions involving two or more cars are frequently the most heinous, leaving accident victims seriously injured or dead.
Approximately 95% of all rollovers are caused by tipping when a vehicle slides sideways on a soft surface or collides with a guardrail, fence, or tree. The other 5% of rollovers are caused by a high-speed accident avoidance maneuver, usually involving top-heavy vehicles, sedans, and pickups.
Cars with high centers of gravity are more prone to flip over than vehicles with lower centers of gravity. Rollover testing has revealed that SUVs and pickup trucks are the most likely to be involved in a rollover accident.
Butte County Rollover Crash Lawyers
People who are hurt often have the right to get money for their injuries, but how much money they get depends on their injuries, who was at fault for the accident, their insurance, and other things. If someone dies because of someone else’s fault, their family members may also be able to get money for their losses.
But it’s not easy to get compensation because insurance companies try to pay out as little as possible or not at all. It can also be hard to gather evidence at the scene of an accident. A lawyer who knows the laws about motorcycle accidents will look for damages by gathering evidence at the scene, arguing with the defendant’s insurance company about the charges, and giving a strong legal defense throughout the case.
