[07-11-2022] Los Angeles County, CA - One Person Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash in GormanOne person was airlifted to the hospital after a crash on the 5 Freeway in Gorman on Monday, July 11, 2022.

Initial reports from the California Highway Patrol state that the crash occurred around 11:30 a.m. on the southbound 5 Freeway close to Smokey Bear Road in Gorman.

Emergency services were alerted to a traffic collision involving an overturned vehicle.

CHP further indicated that the collision involved multiple vehicles, including an overturned Land Rover that struck a dump truck in the rear.

Temporarily closing all lanes of the southbound 5 Freeway to let a helicopter land and rescue the driver of the overturned car.

According to Los Angeles County Fire Department representatives, one patient was taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
