[09-11-2022] 45-Year-Old Bicyclist Killed in Fatal DUI Crash in Newport BeachA 45-year-old bicyclist identified as Randon C. died in a fatal DUI accident in Newport Beach on Sunday, September 11, 2022.

The crash occurred around 8:26 a.m. on Jamboree Road near University Drive.

A vehicle being driven by Anaheim resident Adriana B., 36, collided fatally with Cintron. He was killed on the road due to the collision.

Bernal allegedly fled the scene after the collision and was later discovered in the neighborhood of Eastbluff, close to Corona del Mar High School.

According to the police, Bernal, who had a prior DUI conviction, was found to be under the influence of a drug at the time of the collision and was charged with both murder and hit-and-run.

Bernal was taken into custody and is being held there in lieu of a bail amount of more than $1 million. The prison record also showed she is unemployed.
