According to the authorities, a person was trapped and injured in a minivan’s damaged front passenger seat after being involved in a multi-vehicle collision involving parked vehicles early Saturday morning, September 17, 2022.
According to the San Bernardino County Fire Department, the collision occurred at 1:40 a.m. at the Broadmoor and Marshall boulevards intersection in San Bernardino.
When the first units got to the scene, they changed the call to a traffic accident with multiple patients who needed to be freed and asked for more units.
On Broadmoor Boulevard, a minivan driver hit two cars that were parked. No one knows what caused the crash. The San Bernardino City Police Department was there to discover what had happened.
The female driver could get out of the car without special tools, but the male passenger could not be moved because of how complex the crash was.
It took about 60 minutes for first responders to get the male passenger out of the car.
The driver and the passenger were taken to a nearby hospital, but their conditions are unknown. The reason for the crash is still being looked into.
Multi-Vehicle Crash Statistics
When someone is in a car accident, the effects can be devastating and last a long time. Because accidents happen so often, it’s easy for drivers to forget how dangerous the road can be.
We have reached a crisis point in the United States because many people die in car accidents. The United States Department of Transportation’s Fatality Analysis Reporting System (FARS) says that 33,654 people were killed and 36,560 were hurt in traffic accidents in 2016.
Multiple vehicle accidents are rare, and sometimes they cause serious injuries or expensive property damage.
Accidents with four or more cars are called “multi-vehicle accidents.” There have been a lot of accidents in which many people have been hurt. The fact that there are more people involved directly makes this situation more complicated.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) says that one in four traffic deaths is caused by accidents involving more than one car. Every year, about 13,000 people die in accidents that could have been avoided.
When more than one car is involved in an accident, it is often necessary to go to court to determine who was at fault. You might never get paid for your injuries if you lose your case. A lawyer who specializes in car accidents would be beneficial in this situation.
If you are in an accident with more than one car, steer into a bush or railing instead of another vehicle and gently press the brakes. It is important to find possible witnesses to an accident.
