[10-18-2020] Los Angeles, CA – One Killed in a Fatal Newhall Tow Truck Accident

A 48-year-old woman identified as Murderwiyanti Finn was killed due to a fatal tow truck collision in Newhall on Sunday evening, October 18.

The deadly two-vehicle crash took place on the northbound lanes of Highway 14 at approximately 6:30 p.m.

A flatbed Castaic Tow truck rear-ended a Nissan on the highway for unclear reasons. Three passengers of the Nissan, including two minors, sustained injuries from the crash. The truck driver was uninjured.

Finn, who was a passenger of the Nissan, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The injured victims were immediately transported to an area hospital to receive treatment for their injuries.

Authorities do not believe that drugs and alcohol played a role in the fatal crash.
