[08-06-2021] Los Angeles County, CA – One Person Killed, Another Injured After a Fatal DUI Crash in Arcadia

An unidentified man was killed while his passenger was seriously hurt after a DUI crash in the Arcadia intersection on Friday night, August 6.

The fatal accident occurred at the intersection of Baldwin Avenue and Las Tunas Drive at around 10:50 p.m. A suspected drunk driver was reportedly heading eastbound at high speeds on Las Tunas Drive when he suddenly lost control of his vehicle.

He then crossed over the center divider and veered into the opposite lanes. The drunk driver then collided head-on with a westbound vehicle. The driver of the westbound vehicle was fatally injured in the crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, his passenger was extricated from the wreckage and was immediately rushed to Huntington Memorial Hospital to receive treatment. His passenger sustained major injuries in the accident. The suspected DUI driver was taken to Huntington Memorial for further evaluation.
