One unidentified person was hurt after a multi-vehicle crash on a highway in Pismo Beach on Thursday morning, October 7.

The circumstances leading up to the crash have not been established.

One person sustained moderate injuries in the crash. It’s unclear whether they were taken to an area hospital for treatment. Information about the accident is limited at the moment. The identities of the involved parties have not been disclosed.

Five tow trucks were called to the scene to remove the wrecked vehicles on the roadway. The northbound lanes of Highway 101 were closed down for a few hours to give way for the cleanup and were eventually reopened at 10:40 a.m.
