[01-12-2022] San Diego County, CA – One Person Injured After a Pedestrian Crash on I-805

An unidentified man was hurt following a pedestrian crash near Mission Walley on Wednesday morning, January 12, 2022.

According to the initial reports from local authorities, the accident happened on Interstate 805 near Mission Valley at around 8:00 a.m.

The man was running across the freeway when he was struck by a passing vehicle on the northbound Interstate 805 near the I-8 interchange.

The unidentified man sustained head injuries and was rushed to an area hospital for treatment. It’s unclear why he was running on the freeway.

The California Highway Patrol is further investigating the cause of the accident.
