[01-29-2026] Fresno County, CA – Child Injured After Being Struck by Construction Truck Near Stanislaus And Plumas St.

A 3-year-old child was injured after being struck by a construction truck in southwest Fresno on Thursday afternoon, January 29, 2026.

According to Fresno police, the incident occurred just before 3 p.m. in the backyard of a home near Stanislaus and Plumas streets.

Investigators report that a construction worker was backing up a truck when the vehicle struck the child.

The child was transported to Community Regional Medical Center with a broken arm and head injuries and is being transferred to Valley Children’s Hospital for further treatment.

The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with authorities.

The incident remains under investigation.
